Modern Languages

More than any other subject being able to communicate in another language gives students an advantage in the fast paced job market after College or University.  It is also a very valued A Level to have in an application to university or college.

However, as there is a big jump between GCSE and AS/A level standards this demands high levels of comprehension, fluency, grammar and extended vocabulary. Modern languages are demanding yet rewarding A levels.  Palma College has a strong, enthusiastic Language Department with all teachers being native speakers. The teaching staff are all fully qualified in their respective languages at a university in their native countries.

The A level course for all languages introduces students to the culture, life, customs, youth-related and global issues in the target language and attaches high priority to spontaneous spoken and written work and is therefore challenging even for a native speaker.
