Biology is studied at Palma College by those who seek knowledge and understanding of the biological processes that allow us to stay alive; discover how we interact with the world we live in; investigate the mechanisms through which diseases compromise our health and learn how new medicines and technology fight against them. Studying Biology is studying life.

In the first year of Biology we cover topics related to nutrition, heart disease, genetics, biodiversity and evolution. The second year examines photosynthesis, immunity, forensics or the study of the brain. Laboratory practicals and field work also play a vital part, allowing students to develop essential investigative and technical skills.
